La Administración Nacional de Aeronáutica y el Espacio (NASA) anunció el jueves (02.06.2022) que estudiará los procesos geológicos de los primeros cuerpos planetarios que se conservan en la Luna, investigando por primera vez una forma rara de vulcanismo lunar: las cúpulas de Gruithuisen.

Dentro del programa Artemis, la investigación Lunar Vulkan Imaging and Spectroscopy Explorer (Lunar-VISE) consta de un conjunto de cinco instrumentos, dos de los cuales se montarán en un módulo de aterrizaje estacionario y tres en un rover móvil que fabricará una empresa privada para este programa.
